::love for gardenia::

as i opened the package, the delicious, creamy, beautiful scent of gardenia gently touched my aura. (...:laughs:... i am so terrible at writing beautifully.)
anyway, i've been eyeing this soap by adorationsoap for a while. the picture is great. it makes you want to grab the soap and eat it ;)
there was a YART sale going on on etsy and many soap crafters joined in to make my life a lot happier. adorationsoap was one of them so i used that as another excuse to buy more soaps, and finally got it. am very happy, i did.
i decide to use it as my hand soap. it makes the bathroom smell very nice. you walk up to the sink and you almost think there are real gardenias somewhere in there...
it's chunky, it's creamy, it's heaven.

{sex appeal}

i recently made a purchase with savor ::again:: and i have to say:
i'm so happy savor exists.
today i want to feature this soap: sex appeal.
it is sexy. it is sensual. makes you want to bathe all day...
it has the most unique rose scent, if that's even possible.
more to come...

::soap recommendation:: black mission fig by savor

lisa at s a v o r  makes the most amazing, tempting and unique soaps i've ever encountered.
i want to share with you my favorite one so far (...i've yet to try them all. i will. i will.)

"The fruity, fresh scent of Mission figs takes on a whole new twist, blended with aqua sea salt.

The deep grey base is striking -- crystals of salt coat the top to scrub your rough spots, but the creamy underside is perfect for your sensitive parts.

As with all of Savor's soap, Black Mission Fig's ingredients are pure and the soap is gentle and ultra-moisturizing!" savor.

the scent is simply mesmerizing and your skin is left feeling smoother than ever.
i'm almost finished with mine and will definitely go back for more. although i'd like to try the other tempting ones she has at her beautiful etsy shop before.

note: savor soaps make excellent gifts.

international soaps

so far i've tried soaps from only a few different countries: brazil, u.s.a, s.korea, italy, g.britain, ireland and mexico. i'd love to try soaps from all over the world! i'm going to start researching... do you have any suggestions? please do email me! i'd love to hear from you. soapfetish@gmail.com.

soap supply

i've been browsing through handmade soaps ferociously for the last couple of weeks. i've saved many of them to my favorite list waiting for the right moment to buy them. the :right moment: being, when my soap stash is down to 1 or 2. (i have to control myself. i don't have the space...). well, today i opened my :soap box: and i convinced myself i was running out of soaps (not necessarily down to 1 or 2, but still, very low on soap supply):

my convincing went to shambles when i was reminded of the :not so necessary: large amount of soaps i've been accumulating in the bathroom...

hey, i'm not that crazy, i don't leave them on the sink like that... this was set up for photo purposes only. it's usually in the shower, but the shower is under construction ;) and not picture worthy.

soap :early history:

:early history: (from wikipedia)

the earliest recorded evidence of the production of soap-like materials dates back to around 2800 bc in anctien babylon. a formula for soap consisting of water, alkali and cassia oil was written on a babylonian clay tablet around 2200 bc.

the ebers payrus (egypt, 1550 bc) indicated that ancient egyptians bathed regularly and combined animal and vegetable oils with alkaline salts to create a soap-like substance. egyptian documents mention that a soap-like substance was used in the preparation of wool for weaving.

::welcome to soap fetish::

i can't explain how or why i've become such a soap enthusiast. perhaps it's my appreciation for long, hot, relaxing showers/baths... or my fondness for the subtle scent left in your skin after a shower. it's very romantic, i think. regardless, i love soaps... and i'm here to share.
